Professional Organizing Tips and Resources.
If the truth is we can do anything we want, why does it often feel like
"There’s too much to do and not enough time"?
From personal experience I can relate, as my hands seem rather busy these days with new and ongoing projects, holidays, family, volunteer efforts, Toastmasters and planning for the future.
It’s been a busy yet productive spring so I am not complaining, yet I am noticing that as usual I too have to practice what I preach when it comes to selecting what to do, when to do it, when to let go and when to just say no.
My choices are not always what they should be, (shinny objects, or shall I say projects, sometimes get in the way), yet I am satisfied with the balance I have achieved and happy to find time to enjoy myself too. Particularly those times when I can weave around the town on my rollarblades!
Although the truth is that so many times we try to do too much. Fearful to say no to all the opportunities that present themselves. Afraid to miss out we can take on more than we can chew and then fail to take time to regroup, reassess and just plain cross a few things off our list.
How about you?
We have a choice...
Beat ourselves up for all the things we didn't get accomplished, despite how unrealistic our workloads may be. Or, make a choice to try and find balance and while staying focused on our dreams, excepting that we can’t do or be everything.
Tell us what did you get done this month that you feel good about?
What kinds of prioritizing have you had to do to make sure the important stuff was done?
And what rewards have you been giving or plan to give yourself for your successes?
Please share with us here so we can help inspire each other to do more of what is important to us, less of what is trivial, and enjoy more peace of mind knowing we are making better choices everyday!
